Market Efficiency

Market Efficiency Definition

Market Efficiency is a theory stating that all available information is built into all prices. In a perfectly efficient market buyers and sellers have all necessary information thus they have maximum opportunities to make transactions. Market efficiency has varying degrees: strong, semi-strong, and weak. These three levels mean that the responsiveness of prices to relevant information may vary.
