Revenue Sharing Definition

Revenue Sharing refers to the sharing of profits and losses between at least two parties involved in a transaction. Revenue may be shared between a company and its employees, affiliates or business alliances; or a general partner and limited partners in a limited partnership. The term may also refer to sharing of federal tax revenues between state and municipal governments.
