Stock Savings Plan

Stock Savings Plan Definition

Stock Savings Plan refers to a tax credit plan available in some Canadian provinces. Tax write-offs are provided to investors who spend their income on buying stocks in corporations based in their own province. The aim of the plan is to encourage taxpayers to invest in the provincial economy. The credit is available only on provincial taxes, not on federal taxes.
