Tax Holiday

Tax Holiday Definition

Tax Holiday means a period, during which the government reduces or eliminates certain taxes. Tax holidays are used to reduce sales taxes on certain items to encourage the purchase of these goods. For example, sales tax is often removed on school supplies before school begins. Governments in developing countries create tax holidays as incentives for foreign investors to help promote growth.
