Does NET BALANCE mean I owe money to the bank?

I KEEP RECEIVING STATEMENTS SAYING MY NET BALANCE IS 117 POUNDS

If it is the statement of your regular bank account, its balance shows the amount owed to you by the bank. Statement of your credit card account indicates the amount you owe to the bank.
