What is gap management?

1 Answer

0
Gap management is administration of assets and liabilities in order to ensure that interest rate increases on borrowed funds are offset by increases in income from interest earning investments. Interest rates of assets and liabilities change over time, but these changes need to be offset to keep them balanced. Hedging techniques can be used for gap management.
