What is the meaning of the acronym -bund- listed among the european bonds?

I would buy -bund- however I'd like to receice information about them

A “bund” is the German government's federal bond, it is like the Treasury bonds in the U.S. The word is an abbreviation of “Bundasanleihe”.
These bonds are denominated in euros, their maturities vary from 6 to 30 years and pay interest annually.
